Drawing Vital Milieus

As part of the Master of Landscape Architecture design studio, this workshop introduced students to more-than-human perspectives on their case-study sites through the methodology of Drawing Vital Milieus, developed during my doctoral research at ETH Zürich. Using sectional drawings of life and reproductive cycles as calendars, students traced seasonal rhythms, ecological processes, and interdependencies across species. The workshop fostered ecological attunement and design sensitivity, orienting the students’ imagination toward new ways of living together.
