Flash-Back City
Flash-back City is a workshop series that explores how collaboration and collective imagination can shape urban narratives. Using a gamified interface, participants co-create large-scale drawings of imagined cities, built from crowdsourced associations and personal memories of place. Each workshop is tailored to its local context, allowing participants to reframe their cities through artistic and speculative exploration. By layering individual recollections into collective maps, the process reveals how memory can act as a design tool for urban form. The series has been held in diverse settings, including Brook House Primary School, Colvestone Primary School, UCL, Al Faisal University, Oxford Brookes University, and the RIBA.
